We’ve all heard the saying: “Don’t judge a book by its cover.”
Can the same be said for roofing? Absolutely. All roofers have access to the same building materials. But not all of them have the skills or integrity to install the best elements for you and your family. And let’s face it, it’s what on the inside that counts. Not just the goings on of a family inside their home, but what’s been installed under the shingles, under the vapor barriers and ice shield.
Under the shingles
If your roof isn’t properly installed, things like that idealistic family cooking scene above just won’t happen. Wait for just a second, are we linking a well-installed roof with a lifestyle? You better believe it! If the roof over your head isn’t sound, nothing in your home can go as smoothly as you imagine.
Replacing your roof is about more than installing shingles. That’s why Roofing Above All focuses on installing a complete roofing system, which starts with the removal of all your old roofing material. Once the roof decking is revealed, our crew will examine it for rotting or warping and selectively replace decking to give you a sound surface for installing your best and safest roof.
Complete roof system
Once the roof decking in shape, we’ll install a waterproof leak barrier around any roof protrusions, at the eaves, and in any potential trouble spots. Roofing Above All will also install a vapor barrier, like GAF’s TigerPaw. These products prevent wind-driven rain from infiltrating beneath your shingles and causing damage to your roof structure or the inside of your home. These underlayments also reduce blow-offs and help your shingles to lay flatter and more uniformly.
Next, Roofing Above All installs a pre-cut starter strip of shingles at the eaves and rake edges of your roof. This step speeds installation and gives your roof a wind rating of 110 mph, preventing blow-offs because of the special factory-applied adhesive.
Afterwards, Roofing Above All’s team will install your choice of asphalt shingles, hip and ridge cap, followed by custom balanced ventilation specifically for your home.
Choosing the right shingles
Indeed there is a lot more to the roof than the shingle that finishes it off. And when you stick with the right contractor, you can be sure that you’ll have a secure roof that will keep your family safe and dry for decades to come. Now, can you just imagine all the family cooking and boardgames going on in that beauty?
